renta años, Su Señoría Ilustrísima del señor don fray
Hernando Guerrero, arzobispo metro-
politano de esta ciudad de Manila e islas
Filipinas del Consejo de Su Majestad, habien-
do visto estos autos e información
del milagro que Nuestra Señora obró por me-
dio de la imagen de Casaysay, dijo que:
para que este dicho milagro se deter-
mine conforme lo que dispone el Santo Con-
cilio de Trento, por ser cosa tan grave,
se lleve al venerable deán licenciado don
Miguel Garcetas, que lo es de esta santa i-
glesia de Manila, comisario general subdelegado
de la Santa Cruzada en estas dichas is-
las; y al maestro don Gregorio Ruiz de Escalona,
arcediano de ella; y a los perlados y
superiores de todas las religiones de es-
ta dicha ciudad para que den sus pare-
ceres conforme a su facultad teoló-
gica. Y asimismo al licenciado Nicolás An-
tonio de Lomaña, y al licenciado don Diego de
Vitoria, abogados de la Real Audiencia
y Chancillería de esta dicha ciudad, para que
conforme a derecho lo vean y den asimismo
sus pareceres. Y por lo que toca a las he-
ridas que tuvo y se le dieron a Juan
Ynbin, sangley cristiano, con quien se obró
el dicho milagro, se lleven y lo vean
el doctor Luis Flores Cuadrado, protomédico,
y el licenciado Juan de Castañeda Gueto, asimismo

Hernando Guerrero, Metropolitan
Archbishop of this city of Manila and Philippine
Islands of the Council of his Majesty,
having seen these declarations and investigation
of the miracle that Our Lady performed
through the image of Casaysay, said that:
in order that the said miracle
be determined so according to what it is stipulated by the Holy
Council of Trent, because this is a serious matter,
it might be sent to the Dean, the licentiate Don
Miguel Garcetas, who is of this holy
church of Manila the general official sub-delegate
of the Holy Crusade in this said
islands; and to Master Don Gregorio Ruiz de Escalona,
