Sobre la compra de bandala 5
I am Juan Sarignaya, the scribe of the capitán basal, of the people
of the town of Ligao, I gave this testimony to the witnesses
{Al margin izquerdo: Ligao}
in attesting the truth that an order of the governor and captain general here
in the islands in the Philippines, that arrived here in Manila
on the twenty-third of the month of august, of this year, that was expressed
in the Bicol language of the interpreters of the courts here
in Camalig, that Captain Don Juan Esteban de Encinas,
who is the judge of all the towns here, ordered that four thousand chinantas of
abacá [sama mintiñg] one chinantas and two thousand cabulao of oil
[sa mog sa manicauala] one cabulao to anyone who has abaca
and oil, ordered to be proclaimed in every town is this order and
affixed a translation of that order in a ..., that it would be read
by ...; that in following everything in this order, I, the scribe
read it in the original language at the church on
the twenty-ninth day of this month and year. It was heard
by many people who went to the church. I was asked that it be
affixed at the door of the tribunal in the town of Ligao. In attesting the truth
I wrote this testimony here in this town
on the first day of december in the year 1704, before the witnesses Don Chrisostomo Sinaon, Don Blas Casaquit, Don Thomas Panibi. In attesting the truth, I, the scribe signed.
