I am Don Pedro Bulalacao, the scribe of capitán bassal here in the town
of Buhi. I gave this testimony before the witnesses
in attesting that an order of the governor and captain general
here in the Philippine islands arrived here; that the date in
Manila was twenty-third of august of this year; that the order was
expressed in the bicol language of the interpreters of the courts
in the towns of Camalig; that the order of Capitán Don
Julio Esteban de Encinas, the judge of these towns; that
four thousand chinantas of abaca [sa maminting] per one
chinantas and two thousand cabulao of coconut oil, an eighth of
one cabulao, to anyone who has abaca and oil. I was instructed
that this order be proclaimed in every town and a translation of
the order be affixed in a place that it would be read
by the people. In obeying the instructions of this order,
I, the scribe, read the translation in the original
at the church on the twenty-fourth day of november of this
year. It was heard by the people who went
to the church. When it was done, the order was affixed
at the door of the tribunal in the town of Buhi. In attesting the truth I wrote
this testimony here in the aforementioned town on the twelfth
day in the month of march in the year one thousand seven hundered
five, before the witnesses namely Don Manuel Bagasma,
Don Santiago de Santa Cruz, Don Fernando de Valencia. In attesting
I, the scribe, signed with my name.
